Measures 6 ¼” x 1”

Hand-formed and painted with tinted slip, this burn dish has Kyanite crystal fragments embedded into the clay. Traditionally, Kyanite is incorporated to strengthen elastic clay bodies and is typically found in Raku clay. Metaphysically, Kyanite is known to create an energetic bridge to that which we are seeking. It is said to assist in connecting to those in the etheric realms, our ancestors, and other supportive beings. As always, use caution and protection before establishing any link.

This design is part of The Flow Series, which explores fluidity, intuition, interruptions, and structure through intentional, relational imagery. Broad sweeping brush strokes respond to a form and set the scene, while symbolic imagery like Irises, snakes, and stars add visual depth and interplay. This series is a design turning point that opens the door to playfulness and discovery within my typically methodical creation process. My painting-centered roots shine through in a new capacity, marking another step on my creative evolution.
